A number of students (10-15%) participate in trainings abroad, for instance in Germany, The Netherlands, England, France and the USA.
The institutes of the Faculty have achieved outstanding results in research and science management on both national and international levels. The most prominent fields include Agrarian Pedagogy, Agricultural Economics, Regional Sciences and Marketing, which are instructed nationally exclusively and to the highest standard by the academic staff.
The objectives of the Faculty have been identified as the transfer of modern and valuable knowledge and the training of professionals equipped with theoretical and practical expertise, based on which the graduates of the Faculty will be able to meet the requirements of the EU, of the EU application procedures, of the main trends of economic development, and will be familiar with all aspects of the economy.
EDUCATIONAL AND INFRASTRUCTURAL DEVELOPMENTS
The Faculty has been consciously striving to introduce modern age innovations. As a result, complete IT infrastructure has been built to support educational and research purposes with state-of-the-art computers, modern equipment and multimedia lecture halls.
The latest national and international scientific literature can be accessed in the Faculty libraries. New air-conditioned computer labs, wireless internet connection, built-in projectors in one third of the classrooms, and video-conferencing systems support students in their studies.
The Faculty and its institutes acknowledge the importance of successful web presence. Owing to these improvements, student performance evaluations by instructors are posted online. Current information along with course and support materials are available online.
Market research methods have been applied both in instructional and research activities. The nationally renowned Marketing Research Lab provides the technical background to these activities.
Substantial progress has been made in the modernisation of research farms and in practical training as well. The Szent István Studio of the Faculty, established in 2009, considerably improves the conditions of practical training for Communication and Media Studies majors. The Research Farm in Józsefmajor and the Regional Development and Consultancy Research Farm at Babatvölgy provide perfect conditions for students. The range of recreational activities for students has also been extended.
